Mobility and Placemaking: The Jordan Village Improvement Project

Town of Lincoln, ON: Jordan Village Improvement Project  
In partnership with Arcadis
This project created a vibrant downtown by focusing on active transportation, safety, complete streets and local heritage. It reconstructed major roadways and utilities, converted a five-leg stop-controlled intersection to a four-leg signalized intersection, added 1.6 km of cycle tracks and 3.3 km of new or upgraded sidewalks, and improved greening and accessibility. History and placemaking were at the heart of the project and key to building public support.
